Traveling in a hot air balloon

An other particular attraction and experience that we could try in Sweden is travelling in a hot air balloon, this is an activity a bit uncomon but I think that it should be really exeating.

Travelling in a hot air balloon is not always possible, because it depends on the weather, and also on the city where we are.

The hot air balloon is the oldest successful human-carrying flight technology and is a subset of balloon aircraft.
On November 21, 1783, in Paris, France, the first manned flight was made by Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier and François Laurent d'Arlandes in a hot air balloon created by the Montgolfier brothers. Recently, balloon envelopes have been made in all kinds of shapes, such as hot dogs, rocket ships, and the shapes of commercial products. Hot air balloons that can be propelled through the air rather than just being pushed along by the wind are known as airships

Hot air baloon in Sweden

Hot air baloon in Sweden
Stockholm becomes a fantasy destination for balloonists each summer, when they get to enjoy romantic sunset aerial cruises over the city. Stockholm's far northern latitude makes the summer days very long, extending twilight and allowing safe and spectacular night flying. With predictable summer air conditions and over twenty good landing sites in the city's environs, sunset ballooning is not only possible here—it is the custom. Ninety percent of the commercial balloon flights lift off at dusk. The evening light combines with the unique pleasure of gliding over the shimmering lights of the capital make this a balloon vacation to remember.

Ice hotel

Sweden's Ice Hotel is built from scratch every year. A new design, new suites, a brand new reception - in fact everything in it is crisp and new. If you would like to know more about it, see older posts.
